COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Extended by Federal Government
On Jan. 7, 2021, HHS Secretary Alex Azar renewed the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE) for another 90 days. The extension went into effect on Jan. 21, 2021.
With this, various COVID-19 coverages will be extended, including:
- Testing
- Screening
- Billing
- Telehealth
This will continue until the PHE is either terminated or extended again.
