Fraud, Waste and Abuse Training

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all delegated and contractual Medicare Part C and Part D providers to complete Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) training. The training is available online (PDF) for 'Ohana providers.

D-SNP Model of Care Training Materials

Health plans are required to provide their Special Need Plans (SNP) provider network with information about their basic model of care. Wellcare By ‘Ohana Health Plan has created an online training course that is available via our secure provider portal.

Additionally, we have created the following self-study materials that outline basic requirements and frequently asked questions. Once you have reviewed and understand the self-study program, please fax a completed evaluation form to

Musculoskeletal Management Program

In keeping with our commitment of promoting continuous quality improvement for services provided to Wellcare by Ohana Health Plan Medicare Advantage Primary Members, effective April 1, 2024, Wellcare by Ohana Health Plan has entered into an agreement with Evolent (formerly National Imaging Associates, Inc. (NIA)), to implement a Musculoskeletal (MSK) Management Program. Wellcare by Ohana Health Plan and Evolent welcome providers to attend an upcoming provider education webinar on the Evolent MSK Management Program prior authorization process.

On April 22, 2024, UnitedHealth Group issued a press release, providing an update on the Change Healthcare cybersecurity incident that occurred on Feb. 21, 2024. Given the size of the data impacted, the investigation to determine whose data is impacted is expected to take several months. UnitedHealth Group believes this situation will impact “a substantial proportion of people in America” and is offering immediate credit monitoring and identity protection services, as well as a dedicated contact center to address questions.
